Cody allows only one run on the mound

Written by Jim DeWitt

The Huntsville Stars scored three runs against a shaky Jacksonville defense in the top of the 10th inning Sunday to beat the Suns 4-1.  The victory pushed the Stars' modest winning streak to three games.  Huntsville (16-14) now trails Southern League North Division leader Tennessee by one game.

Jim Henderson pitched two innings of scoreless relief to get the win. Henderson (4-2) struck out four and didn't allow a hit against Jacksonville (16-14).

Huntsville starter Chris Cody also had an effective outing. The lefty gave up just one run in six-plus innings.
