Vikings score on first four possessions, stun Panthers 44-0.
Fort Walton Beach had the preseason hype, and they lived up to it Friday night. The Vikings were led by quarterback Luke Barnes, who accounted for 231-yards, carrying the Vikings with both his legs and arm. The Vikings defense limited Milton to a mere 30-yards on the night and just two first downs. Milton did have success with limitng the Viking running game, holding South Carolina committ Matt Coffee to 46-yards on the ground. Fort Walton jumped out early, tabbing a 14-0 lead and a demanding 31-0 haltime lead. Milton looks to turn things around next week against Trent Richardson and Escambia, while Fort Walton Beach looks to continue their dominance against Sparkman, traveling from Huntsville, AL. |
