Dolphins not enough for Indians, lose 44-9.

The Choctaw Indians gave first-year head coach Greg Thomas a win Friday night, using an overpowering ground game to knock-off the Gulf Breeze Dolphins, 44-9.

Choctaw took a 14-3 lead with a Le'Keefe Robinson touchdown, and Gulf Breeze answered right back with a five-yard run from Rhys Rinke, cutting the lead to 14-9, early in the second quarter.

But that would be as close as the Dolphins would get, as Choctaw would score 21 unanswered points in the second, running the score to a 30-9 advantage at the half.

The Indians totaled 176 yards rushing in the first-half alone, and ran for six touchdowns on the night.

Robinson ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns for the Indians.

Gulf Breeze moves on to take on the Pace Patriots, while Choctaw will meet up with Washington.
